We awoke Saturday morning to a news report that a house had burned to the ground at Libęk. As Libęk is my grandmother's childhood home, until recently inhabited by her sister-in-law, this worried us quite a bit. It turned out the reporters had got it wrong, the house that burned was on one of the other farms in the neighbourhood. A relief to us, though probably not to the people who used to live there...
